We met a few weeks ago while I was on my way to the grocery store to spend my NY state foodstamps, if you remember.

I enjoyed talking to you - as did my friend C - and am writing to say hi before, I hope, you completely forget having met.

Anyway, I'm attaching a short essay I wrote a few years back. I know you read for a living, so I won't send anything very long.
